    Condition:  1

    Condition 0 (perfect)

Perfect. Production related irregularities may be present.

    Condition 0-1 (near perfect)

Mint, read once. Minimal storage marks may be present in addition to minor manufacturing-related blemishes.

    Condition 1 (very good)

As new, near flawless, with light signs of use or storage.

    Condition 1-2 (near very good)

Few noticeable signs of use or storage. May have light dirt marks. A small inscription or stamp may be present.

    Condition 2 (good)

Clearly visible signs of use or storage such as creases, soiling, small tears, missing parts (tear-outs) up to 6 mm. Cover may have light dirt marks and discoloration. Date or business stamps, writing and solved puzzles are allowed.

    Condition 2-3 (still good)

Wholly satisfactory, but clearly read. The intensity or accumulation of defects is greater than in condition 2. The following may also occur: a larger tear (5 cm), clearer inscriptions as well as foxing and other stains. Very small flaws may occur.

    Condition 3 (satisfactory)

Complete, but often read with significant signs of wear. Additional defects may include: a neat paste-down, minor missing parts (without loss of text), heavy fold damage. Despite the many possible defects, still in satisfactory condition.
