Alec Monopoly (= Alec Andon) is an American street artist who has made Mr. Monopoly, the famous mascot of the board game of the same name, the main motif of his work. Using the visual language of consumer culture, media and Pop Art, the artist ironically ironizes capitalist structures in a subversive way. Although Monopoly's true identity is not known, it is assumed that he was born into an artist family in New York in 1986. Monopoly cites the surrealist Salvador Dalí and the pioneering graffiti artists Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat as models for his work.
