Products description

Softcover edition of the 1981 luxury edition, published in 1987 to mark the 40th anniversary of the publication of Christmas on Bear Mountain, the first Scrooge Duck story by Carl Barks. Edited by Edward Summer. Recolored by Peter Ledger.

The comics are printed throughout in color and in a new coloring by Peter Leger. Included are biography and Introduction, a selection of the classic adventures "Back to Klondike" (with insertion of the shortened panels as b/w sketches as well as the first print of the omitted pages), "Trouble from Long Ago" (The Horseradish Story), "Tralla La", "The Seven Cities of Cibola", "The Lemming with the Locket", "Land beneath the Ground" (the omitted pages here as first print, partly for identification in black and white), "The second richest Duck", "Land of the Pygmy Indians", "Island in the Sky", "The many Faces of Magica de Spell", "Micro-Ducks from Outer Space", "Go slowly, Sands of Time" (no comic, but a color illustrated story, here as first print). Between each story a few pages with further comments and explanations, often based on the artist's memories. Also: Uncle Scrooge checklist, Carl Barks bibliography, contributions by Gary Kurtz, George Lucas, Michael Barrier, Carl Barks ("An Introducktion"), Garé Barks.
